Parquet Viewer

Open Parquet files without uploading them. Inspect schema and row counts, search and filter local data, and export the current page as CSV for free.

Parquet is a column-oriented data format commonly used for analytical datasets. Unlike a text export, a .parquet file needs a decoder to inspect its columns and records. This viewer uses local DuckDB-Wasm to make that data browsable.

How to use the Parquet Viewer

Choose a Parquet file, inspect its schema and row count, then browse, search, filter or sort the table. The dataset is materialized into a temporary local DuckDB table; there is no SQL editor in this release.

What the Parquet Viewer supports

Inspect schema and row counts, search, filter and sort using local DuckDB-Wasm. Export the current page as CSV.

File limits and compatibility

200 MiB input. Compressed data may exhaust browser memory earlier. Encryption and some codec variants are unsupported. No SQL editor in this release.

Expanded content can reach browser limits before the input limit. If opening fails, try a smaller supported file. No cloud fallback is used. This viewer is free and requires no account.

A Parquet file viewer for schema and records

Inspect column names and types before comparing records. Search, filter and sort help you narrow the table to relevant values. DuckDB-Wasm runs in your browser and materializes data into a temporary local table. This Parquet viewer online requires no upload; the page loads from the website while your dataset stays on your device.

Start with how to open a Parquet file, or learn about Parquet to CSV current-page export. The 200 MiB input limit is a safeguard: compressed data can exceed available memory sooner. There is no SQL editor or whole-file converter.

Parquet Viewer FAQ

Does opening Parquet send data to a server?

No. DuckDB-Wasm processes the selected file locally. The engine and matching Parquet extensions are served as site assets, and file data is not uploaded.

Can I convert an entire Parquet file to CSV?

The viewer exports only the current page as CSV, up to 200 rows and a 50 MiB generated-export cap. It does not offer whole-dataset conversion.

Why might a Parquet file below 200 MiB fail?

Compressed data can expand beyond browser memory. Encryption and some codec variants are unsupported, and compatibility with nested or binary variants still needs broader validation.
