FREE LOCAL FILE TOOLS
CSV Viewer
Open CSV files in your browser for free. Search, filter and sort rows, choose delimiters, and export the current page without uploading your data.
CSV files store tabular data as delimited text and often come from spreadsheets, reports or database exports. Use this CSV viewer to inspect column names and compare records without importing the file into a spreadsheet.

How to use the CSV Viewer
Choose a .csv file, check the delimiter and header settings, then search all parsed rows or sort a column. Values stay as strings, so identifiers such as 00123 keep their leading zeros.
What the CSV Viewer supports
Search, filter, sort and export the current page of rows. Delimiter and header controls keep values as strings, including leading zeros.
File limits and compatibility
200 MiB input; 200,000 rows and 1,000 columns. UTF-8 and BOM-marked UTF-16. Inconsistent rows are rejected.
Expanded content can reach browser limits before the input limit. If opening fails, try a smaller supported file. No cloud fallback is used. This viewer is free and requires no account.
Open a CSV file without Excel
Choose a local export and check its headers and delimiter before inspecting records. Values stay as strings, preserving identifiers and leading zeros. You can open without Excel when you only need to read a table, search for a value or compare sorted rows.
CSV viewer online, with no upload
The page is online, but parsing and table operations happen in your browser. There is no server copy of your selected file. Read how online pages and local processing work together for the difference.
Viewing large CSV files
CSV input is capped at 200 MiB, 200,000 rows and 1,000 columns. Parsing happens in a worker but is not streamed, so memory can run out earlier. Use smaller extracts when needed. CSV export saves the current page only, at most 200 rows and 50 MiB. If your source is columnar data, see the Parquet viewer and its local CSV page-export guide.
CSV Viewer FAQ
Can I view a CSV file without uploading it?
Yes. CSV parsing and table browsing run locally in your browser. No account or server upload is required.
Can I change the delimiter or header row?
Yes. Use the delimiter and header controls to match your file. Inconsistent row widths are rejected rather than silently repaired.
Does CSV export include every row?
No. CSV export includes only the current table page, at most 200 rows, with a 50 MiB generated-export cap. Formula escaping is on by default; downloading the original preserves the original bytes.
