GLTF Viewer
Open a local GLTF 3D model for free. Orbit, zoom and pan a static geometry preview in your browser with no uploads or external model-resource requests.
glTF 2.0 describes a 3D scene in JSON. This local viewer supports self-contained files with base64 data buffers. Files that need separate .bin buffers or textures are rejected; use a geometry-only GLB export instead.

How to use the GLTF Viewer
Choose a .gltf file and wait for the geometry preview. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom or right-drag to pan. Use Reset camera to return to the initial view. WebGL is required for the interactive preview.
What the GLTF Viewer supports
Static triangle geometry with orbit, zoom, pan and camera reset. Neutral shading; scene transforms are applied and model scale is normalized for display.
File limits and compatibility
50 MiB input; 500,000 triangles; 2,000,000 source vertices/accessor entries (expanded triangles are bounded too). glTF 2.0 only: embedded buffers, no textures/images, extensions, sparse accessors, skins or morph targets. No external URLs, animation editing, original materials, CAD measurements or unit preservation. WebGL required.
Expanded content can reach browser limits before the input limit. If opening fails, try a smaller supported file. No cloud fallback is used. This viewer is free and requires no account.
GLTF Viewer FAQ
Is GLTF viewing local and private?
Yes. Parsing runs in a local worker and rendering uses WebGL in this tab. No model is uploaded. External glTF URLs are blocked and OBJ material libraries are ignored.
Why are textures, materials or animations missing?
The viewer shows static triangle geometry with neutral shading. Original materials, textures, animation, units, lines and points are not reproduced. glTF files containing images, textures or extensions are rejected.
Which models and browsers are supported?
Use a recent browser with workers and WebGL. STL supports ASCII and binary, OBJ supports mesh faces, and GLB/GLTF support uncompressed glTF 2.0 triangles with embedded buffers. Separate glTF files, compressed geometry, skins and morph targets are unsupported.
